Bulgarian progressive rock band Odd Crew unveils acoustic versions of two songs from their Dark Matters album series. ‘New Waters’ and ‘Farewell’ mark the band’s first new acoustic releases since their 2019 album, The Lost Pages.
Recorded earlier this year at Odd Crew’s own ButcherHouse Studio, these versions offer a fresh perspective on the band, while the accompanying video was filmed by director Petar Dimov, who has been the creative force behind the visuals for all three previously released parts of Dark Matters.
“As a band we’ve always loved to get an acoustic guitar and just sit, play and sing. A lot of our songs have started this way and Dark Matters is no exception. Now we get to experience some of those songs as if we’re on a desert island at night just waiting to be saved. We love making these versions as they bring very intimate feelings in the process of writing and performing them.”
The Dark Matters Acoustic Sessions highlight Odd Crew’s versatility, stripping their sound down to its purest form and allowing fans to connect with the music on a deeper, more personal level.
The new acoustic versions of ‘New Waters’ and ‘Farewell’ arrive just in time for the band’s upcoming acoustic tour across their homeland, Bulgaria, while the band also has a new UK Show date lined up (rescheduled from an earlier date), in that they’ll be playing Downstairs at The Dome in London on 24th May, with Special Guests MAB.
