The Foxies embodies sparkle and rebellion at BST Hyde Park

RAMzine’s Victoria Purcell caught up with vocalist Julia Lauren Bullock and guitarist Jake Ohlbaum of The Foxies at BST Hyde Park, where they graced the Birdcage Stage before Guns N Roses took over the Great Oak Stage.

Their performance at Hyde Park was nothing short of awesome – an energetic display of fun pop and punk that left the audience pumped.

During the interview, the band shed light on their latest album, which served as a personal journey during the challenging times of the pandemic. When discussing Nashville’s music scene, they couldn’t help but express their admiration for its booming nature and genre-defying spirit. Among their favourite bands from this vibrant city are Paramore, The Band Camino, and The Criticals. As for their own unique sound, they proudly label it as glitter punk – a fusion that embodies both sparkle and rebellion. Moreover, they emphasize how love and kindness play pivotal roles in every one of their performances.

Excitingly enough, fans can look forward to their upcoming single titled ‘No Better’, which delves into the complex emotions associated with adulthood. Above all else though, The Foxies want everyone to know that they are loved unconditionally and warmly welcome anyone who attends their shows.
