Anvil Feed Your Fantasy

Canadian metal legends Anvil will release their new studio album, One And Only, on 28th June, through AFM Records, with new single, Feed Your Fantasy, streaming now and premiering in its video format here at RAMzine.

The Toronto duo of singer/guitarist Steve ‘Lips’ Kudlow and drummer Robb Reiner, alongside bassist Chris Robertson, can now not only look back at an impressive career with countless highlights -as well as a number of well-documented difficulties – but has also had a lasting influence on lots of internationally renowned musicians, from Metallica to Slayer and beyond.

Although they have experienced the tough and frequently merciless side of the music industry on a number of occasions, Anvil never lost their idealism, motivation and energy, and One And Only will be the band’s 20th album, with Kudlow noting: “We’re more like our old selves than we’ve been in years,”  adding,  “We’ve dropped all our more modern aspects, particularly the 90s version of Anvil. No sexual topics and no thrash speed songs like they featured on past albums.”

Like its four predecessors,
One And Only was produced by Martin ‘Mattes’ Pfeiffer (U.D.O., etc) and Jörg Uken at his Soundlodge studio. The pair, according to Kudlow, are “Our one and only choice. As usual, Mattes and Jörg did a great job in choosing our best playing and making sure it has top notch sound. Great guys who understand the band and know what suits us best.”

Tracks featured on the album are title track ‘One And Only’, ‘Feed Your Fantasy’, ‘Fight For Your Rights’, ‘Heartbroken’, ‘Gold And Diamonds’, ‘Dead Man Shoes’, ‘Truth Is Dying’, ‘Rocking The World’, ‘Run Away’, ‘World Of Fools’, ‘Condemned Liberty’ and ‘Blind Rage’.

One And Only can be ordered here and ‘Feed Your Fantasy’, is out now on all digital streaming providers here.
