ASAVA have signed to MDDN and Atlantic Records, marking the Ohio alt metal outfit’s major label debut with new single and video ‘Leigh’, released on 29 May 2026.
The track previews their forthcoming album Mahjong, and it is built to make an entrance. Co-produced by the band with Jacob Shar, ‘Leigh’ layers reverb soaked shoegaze atmosphere over genuine alt metal weight, the five piece’s cinematic instincts pushed to the front. Frontman Liam Brocious has called it the band’s best work yet and the spearhead of the album to come.
The video continues How Long Is Forever?, the band’s self produced and directed series that runs alongside the music as a dark detective thriller in the vein of True Detective. The new episode opens on a miniature crime scene scattered with red gems and a spilt pill case, and a woman who is not as alone as she believes.
Formed in Canton and hardened on the rock circuit, ASAVA released Mantras independently in 2025 before a feature in Revolver’s Spring 2026 issue widened their audience. The five piece is completed by bassist Greg Cochran, drummer Spencer Cindia and guitarists Garret Gump and Zach Rusher.
