ASOMVEL have announced their fifth album, Set Your World On Fire, for release on 1 October 2026, and marked the occasion with the blistering title track and its video.
The Yorkshire four piece have spent years building a reputation for sheer volume and high octane live shows, and the new single leans into exactly that. ‘Set Your World On Fire’ rolls in on scorching riffs, searing solos and a thunderous rhythm section, with frontman Ralph Robinson’s vicious growl front and centre. The accompanying video was filmed at the Zenith Arena in Paris during the band’s run supporting Airbourne earlier in 2026.
The album runs to 12 tracks of hard rock and speed metal, opening with ‘King Of The World’ before moving through politically charged cuts such as ‘World At War’, which takes aim at global leaders and the damage unfolding around the world. ‘Blood Runs Cold’ pushes power back toward ordinary people, while ‘Eye Of The Storm’ and ‘Your Worst Nightmare’ drive the record toward its chaotic peak. The band describe it as old school rock without being a throwback, built on primeval fury they hear in every chord.
Before the album arrives, ASOMVEL play Graspop Metal Meeting on 19 June, the Rock & Blues Custom Show in Pentrich on 24 July and Stonedead Festival in Newark on 29 August. Their UK headline tour then runs through November, taking in Wolverhampton’s KK’s Steelmill (13th), London’s Underworld (15th), Bristol’s Exchange (16th), Nottingham’s Rescue Rooms (17th), Glasgow’s Classic Grand (18th), Newcastle’s The Cluny (20th) and Leeds’ The Key Club (21st).
