Autøne release their new single ‘Medusa‘ on 31st January – An up tempo rocker with soaring melodies, the song showcases the talents of this up and coming North Wales band, and pitched just right for fans of the likes of Halestorm, Tonight Alive and Paramore.
Autøne was founded by lead singer and songwriter Jasmine Roberts. At the age of 19, Roberts wrote and fully funded the first EP that was recorded in 2016 at the motor museum studios in Liverpool. Producer Al Groves (Bring Me The Horizon) tying together three songs alongside the singer to create the Emerge EP. Upon self-release, the leading single ‘Accentuate And Determinate’ reached a rather fabulous 17th position on the iTunes rock charts and the song received airplay from BBC introducing and stations in America and Australia.
In 2023, the first single of the new era ‘Home’ was released. This song showcased a softer side to Robert’s writing, but was fuelled her desire to write a full album. In April 2023 Autøne gained the attention of Youth, the Grammy award winning producer and bassist for Killing joke and the band were offered an opening slot on his North West tour. Autøne are now recording their full length album in Stiwdio Sain in North Wales, working with Aled Hughes who produced their last single ‘Home’.
Now featuring Roberts, Sion Jones and Sam Green, Autøne’s first single from the upcoming album, ‘Medusa’, features punchy guitars, a hard hitting rhythm section and anthemic melodies topped off with catchy hooks, and a sign of what is to come with the album release.
