Bloodbound’s Rise Of The Dragon Empire

Continuing in the manner of their last two albums with a more bombastic, orchestral and symphonic direction, Swedish power metal band Bloodhound release their latest full length epic, Rise Of The Dragon Empire on 22nd March through AFM Records.

Said to feature a clearer Nordic folk music influence mixed in with their trademark sound, it is the band’s eight album and finds them working once more with engineer Jonas Kjellgren who mixed their last four albums.

Formed in 2004 by keyboard player Fredrik Bergh and guitarist Tomas Olsson, Bloodhound has shed a few members in its time including former Bonfire vocalist Michael Bormann. Patrik J. Selleby joined as vocalist in 2010, with the current line-up completed by Henrik Olsson (Guitars), Anders Broman (Bass) and Daniel Sjögren (Drums).

Rise Of The Dragon Empire follows 2016’s international chart hit War Of Dragons and a series of concerts and festival gigs that has found them playing in 25 countries.

Our audience is very much a combination of fans who follow us since the early days of our debut Nosferatu and ones who joined party somewhere along the way”, Bergh commented. Many of our older songs have become classics among those fans, but at the same time our audience demands that we play lots of songs from the new records, every time we tour again. That’s a great situation to be in for us as artists and keeps things fresh and exciting.”
