Currently touring Finland, Helsinki melodic rock heavyweights Brother Firetribe is set to release a new maxi EP – Number One EP – through Gramophone Records. It will be the band’s first new music since 2020’s Feel The Burn album.
Number One EP is a collection of seven melodic rock tracks, bringing two new classics, ‘Number One’ and ‘How Long Till Tomorrow’, with what’s been described as “a stunning” acoustic version of ‘Bring On The Rain’; and four previously released singles together for the first time.
Vocalist Pekka Heino commented, “Number One EP is a sort of an interim statement where we wanted to tie together the songs we’ve put out since the covid years on one solid release with some new material of which we’re super excited about! Can’t wait to go out and play all of them live soon and then dig deep into working on a full blown fresh new album. Tribe is on a roll!”
The band was formed in 2002 in Kerava (Finland) when Heino, keyboardist Tomi Nikulainen and bassist Jason Flinck met with guitarist Emppu Vuorinen (also known as one of the founding members of Nightwish). Mixing melody with driving rock, the band went on to release five critically acclaimed albums, a live concert DVD and killer melodic rock songs like ‘One Single Breath’, ‘Heart Full Of Fire’, ‘I Am Rock’, ‘For Better Or For Worse’ and what’s been described as “the only possible soundtrack for a Rocky movie never made”, ‘Taste Of A Champion’.
2020 saw Vuorinen leave the band due to his ongoing commitments with Nightwish, the band now also featuring Hannes Pirilä on drums and percussion alongside Roope Riihijärvi on guitars.

Number One EP features: ‘Number One’, ‘How Long Until Tomorrow ‘, ‘Just Another Night’, ‘Are You Ready’, ‘Man On A Mission’, ‘Thunder Rising’ and ‘Bring On The Rain (Acoustic)’.
Number One EP will be released as a limited edition digipack CD through Gramophone Records on the 25th April, in the meantime you can check out the lyric video for ‘Number One’ here at RAMzine.
