Fronted by the powerhouse vocals of Meghan Parnell and driven by the fiery guitar work of Dave Barnes, Bywater Call has been making waves across the globe, earning nominations from the Independent Blues and Maple Blues Awards, including Entertainer of the Year and Best Female Vocalist.
The band were also nominated for the 2024 UK Blues Awards International Artist of the Year alongside the winner of the category, Larkin Poe. This year, the band was short-listed once again for this award and are in the top 20 along with Larkin Poe, Joanne Shaw Taylor, Beth Hart, Christone ‘Kingfish’ Ingram, Samantha Fish, Bobby Rush and other notables in the genre.
Their live performances have set European festival stages ablaze, including a show-stopping set at the legendary Moulin Blues festival in the Netherlands – Where Parnell’s vocals were hailed as the finest in blues and roots music today.

In August 2024, Bywater Call released their third album Shepherd which featured the singles ‘Everybody Knows‘, ‘Holler’, ‘Colours’, ‘As If’, ‘Roll‘, and ‘For All We Know‘. ‘Everybody Knows’ and ‘Holler‘ were championed and put on high rotation on Planet Rock; the UK’s popular classic rock radio station.

In their August 2024 issue, Henry Yates of Classic Rock Magazine made Shepherd his Album of the Month in his Blues round-up, and said it was “an inventive and uncommonly catchy record,” and added, “the sense of a band on the brink is unmistakable.” The album was also selected as the Top Blues Album of the Year in the magazine’s year-end round-up.
Bywater Call’s special guest is the critically acclaimed and award-winning South African singer-songwriter and guitarist Dan Patlansky who will bring his brand-newLoop Station Show Electric (LSS️) – A fresh and innovative take on the solo live performance.
This is not your typical one-man show. Apparently, the Loop Station Show Electric will feature all the energy, dynamics, and firepower fans are accustomed to but with every song reimagined and delivered in an exciting new way – All electric, all live, all Patlansky.
Over the past few years, he has been refining his craft, writing new material, and pushing his musicianship to new heights. In 2024, Patlansky released his 11th album Movin’ On that garnered rave reviews was voted the #3 Blues Rock Album of the year by Blues Rock Review.
