Closer To The Sun Deluxe Edition Due From Tyketto

An expanded double disc collector’s edition of Tyketto‘s recent hit album, Closer To The Sun, is set for release on 27th November via Silver Lining Music.

Designed for “mega fans, super collectors and proud musical anoraks”, the collection is said to take everything that made Closer To The Sun special and add a treasure trove of material that makes it much more than a reissue. Alongside the complete Closer To The Sun album, the deluxe edition features radio single edits and live recordings captured during the band’s tour earlier this year.

The deluxe edition also includes a piano version of ‘The Picture’ (previously available only in Japan), which is out now as a single, with a new video you can check out here at RAMzine.

“I’ve been really humbled by the amount of people that have told me how much this song has affected them,” frontman and founder member Danny Vaughn said. “Especially considering that the song almost didn’t happen,” he added.

“When I was preparing to start writing new ideas for what would become the Closer To The Sun album, I was going through a number of older files and found ‘The Picture’ by sheer luck on a demo I had made several years ago with two great players from the Boston area.

“Why had it never been released before? I guess the time just wasn’t right. But the time is right now, going by the overwhelming reaction we have received from fans all over the world. So now I’m extremely proud to release this song as a single alongside a great video that really captures its spirit. To me, ‘The Picture’ is the natural successor to ‘Standing Alone’.”

Alongside Danny Vaughn, Tyketto‘s current lineup features Harry Scott Elliott on guitar, Ged Rylands on keyboards, Chris Childs (Thunder) on bass and Johnny Dee (Doro) on drums.

Disc 1 features ‘Higher Than High’, ‘Starts With A Feeling’, ‘Bad For Good’, ‘We Rise’, ‘Donnowhuddidis’, ‘Closer To The Sun’, ‘Harleys & Indians (Riders In The Sky)’, ‘Hit Me Where It Hurts’, ‘The Picture’, ‘Far And Away’ and ‘The Brave’.

Disc 2 features ‘Higher Than High (Radio Edit)’, ‘We Rise (Radio Edit)’, ‘The Brave (Radio Edit)’, ‘The Run (Live At Stonedead Festival 2025)’, ‘End Of The Summer Days (Live At Stonedead Festival 2025)’, ‘Burning Down Inside (Live In Newcastle)’, ‘Reach (Live In The UK)’ and ‘The Picture (Piano Version)’.
