Ernie Ball Endorses Troy Redfern

Being dubbed Britain’s “king of slide guitar” so early in your career is one thing, but being endorsed by a long-established representative of the music industry worldwide is another, and that’s just happened to Troy Redfern,

Following the recent release of his new album The Fire Cosmic, and it being well received critically, Redfern has signed an endorsement deal with the world’s leading guitar strings manufacturer, Ernie Ball.

“When I first started playing guitar at age thirteen the very first set of strings I bought were Ernie Ball along with my first electric guitar,” said the guitarist.

“All of my guitar heroes were using them, the who’s who of the world’s leading guitarists, and there’s a reason why. Ernie Ball strings are the best, most consistent, comfortable strings out there.

“They just feel like home to me, especially after using them for over thirty years. I’m totally honoured to now be endorsed by a company that I’ve loved for my whole guitar playing career.”

Such strings adorn the 1930s Triolian and National vintage resonator guitar Redfern plays. You’ll hear them together on The Fire Cosmic, including his latest single Stone’ that you can catch the video for here at RAMzine.

Following his tour supporting Robert Jon & The Wreck on their UK tour last month, Redfern will tour the UK supporting The Quireboys in October and November 2021, then January and June 2022, Wille & The Bandits in March and April 2022, and When Rivers Meet in April and May 2022.
