Evil Scarecrow are getting ready to Shred The Evidence… planning a short run of dates this summer and beyond, with the shock rockers taking in a live performance for the 25th anniversary of Bloodstock Festival.
‘Shred The Evidence’ is a brand new single from the band, lending its name to the accompanying video and to the banner for their forthcoming live dates.
“The world is a strange and not necessarily pleasant place at the moment. Evil Scarecrow mostly try and steer away from politics, politics and general misery, it’s our job to bring the fun, but sometimes even we can’t ignore the madness,” declared the band. “Our latest album Silicon Tea, released in October 2025, didn’t set out to encapsulate the darkness of modern life, but it is laced with cynicism and irony. ‘Shred The Evidence’ could be a light-hearted ode to binge drinking, it could be a statement on post-hedonistic shame, or it could be… something else. As such, we release a video for this track to coincide with the tour announcement,” they continued, before concluding: “The zeitgeist of our time seems to be: You’ve gotta laugh or you’ll cry.”
