Floor Jansen has shared ‘Everything Is Moving On’, the third single and video from her second solo album Hytress, due on 15 January 2027 via REVAMP Music/Warner Music.
It lands at a pivotal moment. On 15 October, Floor Jansen and Nightwish announced they had parted ways after 14 years, with the singer now focusing fully on her solo career. A song about time, change and knowing when to move forward could hardly be better timed.
At its heart, the track is a reminder to stop postponing what matters and be present for the life you have now. Floor explains:
“For me, this song is about being awake to the life you have now. We so easily tell ourselves we’ll do something later, but life keeps moving. Every experience and every person leaves something with you. Moving on doesn’t erase that; you take it with you into whatever comes next.”
Musically, it brings an uplifting sense of momentum to the record, keeping her powerhouse vocals front and centre while leaving plenty of room for melody and emotional openness. It follows earlier singles ‘Run’ and ‘Bring Me Silence’.
Hytress follows her 2023 solo debut Paragon, and promises to take the weight of her past and push it into something sharper and heavier. Her solo catalogue has already passed nearly 150 million streams, and recent main stage slots at Wacken Open Air, Masters of Rock and Sweden Rock show how far this side of her career has come.
UK fans get one exclusive headline show, at London’s Electric Brixton on 16 January 2027, the day after the album arrives.
