In keeping with what’s become a rich explosive underground metal scene in Ireland, Cork natives Following The Signs present another slice of music with single and video in the shape of new single, ‘Stand Tall‘.
‘Stand Tall’ has been described as “an anthem of resilience and defiance, blending aggressive guitar riffs, thunderous drums, and commanding vocals to create a powerful soundscape.”
With its raw intensity and empowering message, the single is poised to become a staple in the band’s live performances and a fan favourite. Following The Signs continues to build momentum within the metal community, earning a reputation for their electrifying live shows and unwavering dedication to their craft.
‘Stand Tall’ is now available on all major streaming platforms and you can check out the video here at RAMzine.
The new single follows previous release, ‘Birthright’, about which the band said; “’Birthright‘ is a concept song about living your life the way you want to. It’s all about sticking to your guns and fighting for your dreams even though you might have people in your life that doubt you. Even though the song is heavy, it has a “I’m free and able to conquer whatever stands in front of me” vibe to the track.
“The main focus of this song is to showcase the band’s determination to not give up no matter how many times they’ve been denied. This song also showcases how the world around us is unfair and we have to find a way to deal with it. It has the band’s classic sound with thought out riffs and catchy melodies, mixed with undeniable bass-lines.
This track marks the start of the new FTS era”. You can checkout the video here at RAMzine.
That itself follows brutal previous single ‘Bury Me‘ – Taken from the band’s debut album Conflictions.
Describing themselves as: “Groove metal fused with a cacophony of blistering metalcore breakdowns, and riffs that draw from the likes of Korn, Motionless In White, Black Sabbath, to Lamb Of God, Slipknot and Deftones, the band features Dan Hayes (Vocals), Noel Crowley and Vincent Renoux (Guitars), plus Rory Taylor (Bass).
“Conflictions is full of a modern groove and metalcore combined with all of us finding our inspiration from our influences individually and bringing it all together to create our own sound, “ the band said of the parent album from which they’ve been releasing singles of late.
“From start to finish we aimed to catch people’s attention right off the bat, whether it was the first notes played on the guitars, or the velocity of the vocals accompanying. We definitely aimed for a darker theme lyrically, talking across a range of emotions and thoughts people could really get behind while the instruments set the vibe for everything to fall into place.
Back in July, they brought out ‘Exposed’ as a single. “The album starts with this track because we thought that would be a great idea to start with a song that sounds really like us,” said the band of it and you can check out the video for ‘Exposed’ and previous ‘This Day Is Mine’ here at RAMzine and stream them here. Conflictions can be found here
‘This Day Is Mine’ has groovy and punchy riffs, while the vocals are really catchy, continued the band. “This is all what we tried to make that album from. If you liked This day is mine, you should give a try to the whole album then.”
