Following in the footsteps of The Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder and …Taylor Swift – Green Day are headlining Barclaycard’s British Summer Time in London’s Hyde Park in 2017.
Billie Joe Armstrong told NME:
“London in the summer, us and tens of thousands of fans having the biggest party in one of the world’s most legendary venues,” said frontman Billie Joe Armstrong, “We have the best year to look forward to and this has just made it extra special.”
The punk-pop legends will headline British Summer Time Festival at Hyde Park in London on Saturday 1 July. The support acts is yet to be announced. Tickets are on general sale from 9am on Friday 7 October.
They release their new album ‘Revolution Radio’ on 7 October.
The band return to the UK to tour in early 2017, performing at:
Leeds First Direct Arena (February 5)
Manchester Arena (6)
London O2 Arena (8).
