Young Sydney punks The Kids release a new single on Riot Records, by the handle, ‘The Family Situation‘.
“This song was written all the way back in 2016, and only recorded last year. We never looked at it to be a single but with the shit that is going on in the world at the moment, it’s hard to get a recording session,” said band member Jagger Alexander-Erber. “So, to keep all you folks happy we decided to reach back into the vault and pull this out”.
“With the stuff we are writing now and the band we are becoming, we are happy to release this song because it is our last waypoint in our “old” discography. Or maybe even the last hurrah on an old sound. Other than that, this song is a passage into the deepest depths of my 13-year-old mind.”
Featuring explicit lyrics, it’s a passage into the depths of a teenage mind. Furious, cold, hateful, anxious, and upset, the track speaks of destructive home situations and provides a voice for those who are voiceless. It also belts out at heft pace!
