Boston-based rock act Lansdowne has a new digital EP out, Bury Me Reimagined, ahead of touring the UK and Europe as special guests with Nashville rockers Red.
The EP features two versions of band composition ‘Bury Me’, both its original and a stripped down version, alongside a cover of Kane Brown’s ‘Bury Me In Georgia’.
“When we were writing ‘Bury Me’, we realised how emotional the song could be,” said lead vocalist Jon Ricci. “This is a journey from heartbreak to healing, and the guys and I felt like a stripped down version would help convey the vulnerability of the story. I love the soaring strings and the raw approach to the vocals. We love showing two sides to the same song, one hard charging and the other reimagined to be more intimate.
“As a big country fan, we thought this would be a fun way to give our fans something different with Kane Brown’s ‘Bury Me In Georgia’. Obviously, we chose it because of the title, but again it was an opportunity to reimagine a great song and give our fans access to another side of Lansdowne.”
Since emerging onto the music scene in 2006, Lansdowne has achieved two billboard charting radio singles, over 100 million streams and views, and have licensed songs to major brands such as iRobot, the NFL, MTV, and more.
Comprising Ricci (Vocals), Shaun Lichtenstein (Lead Guitar, vocals), Glenn Mungo (Drums), Josh Waterman (Guitar, vocals), and Mike LaRoche (Bass), Lansdowne’s latest album, Medicine, was released in 2023 through AFM Records.
Building their name the old fashioned way – on the road; having performed countless shows internationally, including a 2007 tour for the troops across Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, and Kuwait, as well as sharing the stage with rock heavyweights such as Theory Of A Deadman, Puddle Of Mudd, Creed, Black Stone Cherry, Ice Nine Kills, Pop Evil, and more recently, with Swedish rock queens Thundermother.
