German heavy metal act Mystic Prophecy recently released their 12th studio album Hellriot, through ROAR! Rock of Angels Records, and have been following swiftly with new single and videos. First came ‘Demons Of The Night’, and now ‘Azrael’.
The band describe the latest single thus: “Life and death, a thin line all living things will have to pass through. ‘Azrael’; the benevolent archangel of death, transporting the living to the valley of death! An ode to the transitioning from this life to the other!”
Whereas with ‘Demons of the Night’ Mystic Prophecy paid a visit to the glory days of the 80s telling the story a young metalhead girl that alone at nights, in her room, with a little help from the band’s music and their mutual unity under the heavy metal banner, is fighting her inner demons!

Featuring R.D. Liapakis (Vocals), Markus Pohl and Evan K (Guitars), Joey Roxx (Bass), and Hanno Kerstan (Drums), Mystic Prophecy is proving to be one of international heavy metal’s most successful acts of the genre on digital platforms, with several hundred thousand followers on Spotify.
Their live shows are said to be a “a passionate ultimate fight, and with their new album Hellriot they pick up where they left off with Metal Division that was a chart success in several countries, not least a top 20 in the official Top 100 German album charts.
