The 5-track EP entitled We Mourned You, which is the latest output by the weird post-rockers and formless noise-makers known as Picture Ann, is a musical exploration of disillusion where morose melodies and subtle layers of ambience spawn a dense soundscape with an oppressive and claustrophobic aura to it. Inspired by the idea of the Byronic hero, the majority of compositions are inspired by dark and brooding characters from the classic literary canon who are either rebellious or melancholy wanderers trying to find solace and escape their empty way of life.
