Demolition City with The Anix

Electronic rock artist and producer The Anix’s 2008 album Demolition City has been rereleased via FiXT, as has a remastered version of ‘This Game’, as a single.

‘This Game’ is an electronic rock single fusing synthesizers, upbeat rhythms, heavy guitars, and bass with thoughtful lyrics via a vocal performance for an overall emotional soundscape illustrating the acknowledgement of a dying relationship.

For the re-mastered version of Demolition City, I wanted to turbocharge one of the most popular songs on the album, ‘This Game’, said The Anix.

“This was always our biggest song when we were on tour and an underground favourite within the fans. I didn’t want to completely redo the song, but I wanted to capture more of the style that the original demo was written in, which was also the way we performed it live.

“More electronics/programming and vocoder has been added to the track using the original demo file archives, then we remastered the track to balance the new added parts and lead the re-release of the album.”

Demolition City is available here.
