The Anix’s Shadow

Alternative/electronic-rock project of Los Angeles artist/producer Brandon Smith, The Anix has a new single out in ‘Shadow from upcoming album Voltage, due in late 2024 from FiXT.

‘Shadow’ showcases The Anix‘s ability to craft powerful, atmospheric compositions that draw listeners into a world of introspection and emotion. Diving into the truth that each of us has a dark side that we generally do not present to the world. Every positive aspect of our self, has an equally negative hidden side. It is this dichotomy that ‘Shadow’ seeks to define.

The Anix explained. “‘Shadow’ presents a hybrid electronic sludge infused alternative rock track, inspired by the early 2000’s culture and sound. The track exploits the phenomenon of “Shadow” personality traits- the side of us that rarely gets shown to the world. Psychological studies show that for every positive, or useful trait we possess, we have counteractive negative ones that we battle with throughout our lives. Some learn to work with these traits, some use them to their benefits, and some hide them away.”
