The Marigold Exorcise Charm

Italian sludgy post rockers The Marigold deliver a melting pot of alternate death rock in their music.

The band has been together in one form or another since 1998, with front man Marco Campitelli seeing through assorted line-up changes come and go until the band metamorphosised into him on guitars, vocals, 6-string bass, keyboards, noises, with Stefano Micolucci on basses and Lorenzo Di Lorenzo playing drums & percussion.

Many live performances, demos, compilations, have earned them the appreciation of various fans and the accolades of a variety of music magazines.  Then, in 2004 they made their debut on Black Desert Rec with the E.P. Divisional. Three years later they released Erotomania and began playing throughout Europe.

In 2009, the post rock influenced Tajga album came out, subsequently getting reissued alongside the Let The Sun EP with three live tracks. 2014’s Kanaval saw the band’s return to more primitive steps with experimental sounds melted to noise for its international release.

Now, The Marigold return with new album Apostate. Produced by Toshi Kasai (Melvins), with a guest appearance by Adam Harding (Dumb Numbers, Kidbug). Released through Coffin & Bolt records you can pre-order/save it here.

The band released the single, ‘My Own Apostate‘ last month and now follow it up with  ‘Exorcism Charm‘ and you can watch the video to both songs right here at RAMzine.
