The Who have released ‘You Better You Bet (Live at Eden Project),’ the second single from their forthcoming live album Live At Eden Project, due 29th May via earMUSIC.
The track lifts a 1981 fan favourite straight out of that unforgettable July 2023 night in Cornwall, where the band were joined by the Heart of England Philharmonic Orchestra for a performance that has now been preserved across multiple formats. Originally released over four decades ago, ‘You Better You Bet’ became one of The Who’s defining post-Moon anthems – with punchy guitars, those unmistakable synth lines and Pete Townshend‘s deeply personal lyrics colliding with characteristic ease. We really like that this version still finds thousands singing, dancing and treating it like a brand new song, decades on.
The accompanying live performance video has landed on the earMUSIC YouTube channel, giving anyone who missed the Eden Project show a chance to feel the energy of that night. Available now as an instant gratification track with all digital pre-orders, the single sets the tone for an album that captures both the emotional scope and sonic power of a remarkable evening in The Who’s recent live history.
Live at Eden Project arrives on 29th May 2026 in a 2CD Digipak, a limited 3LP Gatefold edition pressed on recycled vinyl with plastic-free packaging, a standard 3LP Gatefold, and across all major digital platforms. The 24-track listing pulls together signature anthems and deeper cuts — ‘Bohemian’-scale ambition aside, expect to hear ‘Pinball Wizard’, ‘Who Are You’, ‘Eminence Front’, ‘My Generation’, ‘Behind Blue Eyes’, ‘Won’t Get Fooled Again’, ‘Love, Reign O’er Me’ and ‘Baba O’Riley’, alongside Tommy-derived favourites ‘Overture’, ‘1921’, ‘Amazing Journey’, ‘Sparks’ and ‘The Acid Queen’.
For a band that has shaped multiple generations and built a catalogue that simply refuses to date, the Eden Project pairing — orchestral muscle, environmental setting, vinyl pressed on recycled stock with plastic-free packaging — feels like an appropriately thoughtful release. It also serves as a reminder that even at this point in their career, The Who can still command a stage on this scale.
