Bouzouki rockers Tri State Corner release new single ‘Run Away’ from their new album, Stereotype, out on 1st October through Drakkar Entertainment/Soulfood.
At this point you’re probably asking “what’s bouzouki rock?” Well, it’s a genre of their own concoction, that has its origins in the band members originating from Germany, Poland and Greece (As their name might suggest), and the differences in those nation’s musical styles and lyrical poetry.
From that, Tri State Corner mix hard-rock tunes with more sensitive, melancholic sounds in their compositions to gain the distinctive flavour of the traditional Greek bouzouki. Having grown up in various immigrant communities, there’s a clear insight into their experiences and they express this with their lyrics – Mixing contemporary history with a very social, critical and modern view on today’s society.
The four musicians who form Tri State Corner have shared big stages with bands such as Evanescence, Lordi, Rage, Nightwish, Nazareth, The Sweet, Mothers Finest and Accept, with more than 600 live shows in 22 Countries on three continents and five releases under their belt.
With their previous 2018 release, they completed what was a trilogy (Historia, Home and Hero) that saw them presenting its musical story through Europe, Japan & South Korea. Then, right before the corona crisis started in 2020, the band began to work on new material towards their sixth release, the forthcoming Stereotype.
