Untervoid Debut Parasite

Six years following the release of their self-titled EP via Osmose, the Polish black-death band Untervoid is back with their long-awaited debut album. Entitled Parasite it is out now via Pagan Records on CD, vinyl and digital formats.

As a first taste of the album, the crushing single ‘Ruiner’ is streaming now via all digital platforms here and you can checkout the video here at RAMzine.

Parasite is a concept album that explores the multifaceted role of humanity as a parasitic force on both society and the planet. From the suffocating pressures of social constructs to the looming threat of ecological collapse, Parasite delves into the anxieties of our time. Rooted in the shadows of the cold war, the album confronts the spectre of inevitable destruction, painting a bleak yet compelling portrait of a world on the brink, echoing Nevil Shute’s On the Beach. Tracks featured are: ‘Parasite’, 23’, ‘Downfall of Angels’, ‘Abyss Gazes Black’, ‘Ruiner’, ‘Swarm’, ‘Azure’, ‘Agony’ and ‘Last Shore’. Parasite can be ordered here.

Formed in 2015 by Destroyer (Redemptor, Hate, Kriegsmaschine) and Adam Sierżęga (Armagedon, Azarath), the band appeared, with a full concert line-up, at the prestigious, completely sold-out Merry Christless concert series following the release of their debut EP. Untervoid has steadily built a reputation for their intense and uncompromising sound. In 2024 Haldor Grunberg (Thaw, Mentor) joined the band as a third member.

The Parasite session began with drums recorded at Monochrome Studio, with Haldor Grunberg as the sound engineer, in December 2019. The rest was created, over the following years, at Rockstarguitar Studio and recorded by Destroyer. The saxophone parts and some vocals were recorded at JPM Studio, with Michał Pijocha as the sound engineer. The mixing was handled by Haldor Grunberg/Satanic Audio. The album was finally mastered at Audiosiege Studio. The album cover and graphic design were created by Sars.

Untervoid perform at Summer Dying Loud today in Poland!
