Voodoo Six are Simulating!

Voodoo Six return with a new line-up and studio album on the way that critical consensus already agrees they’ll be raising themselves to another level once Simulation Game is released.

Iron Maiden founder and bassist Steve Harris commented on the band, “I’ve been keeping an eye on Voodoo Six for a while now and they’ve produced a cracking new album with real promise. It’s great to support true British up-and-coming talent.”

Renowned for being a formidable live force, notably as special guests of Iron Maiden, UFO and Extreme as well as headlining shows throughout the UK and Europe. A popular staple on the festival circuit, the band has performed Download four times and Sonisphere twice. Their previous full-length album was 2016’s critically acclaimed Make Way For The King.

Out on Friday 16th October, one can expect the same driving, contemporary rock with an undercurrent of blues cut through with killer riffs on Simulation Game but with the bar raised across the following tracks: ‘The Traveller’, ‘Gone Forever’, ‘Liar And A Thief’, ‘Inherit My Shadow’, ‘Last To Know’, ‘Lost’, ‘Never Beyond Repair’, ‘Brake’, ‘Control’ and ‘One Of Us’.

Founder member and bass player Tony Newton said of the new record and fresh start for the band, “It feels like this is the right time for us. We’re incredibly proud of the new material and can’t wait for people to hear Simulation Game and join us for some amazing live shows. We are excited to sign with the new US label Explorer 1. We always felt the band would do well in America.”

Explorer 1 is a Hollywood based full-service music company that should ensure their music resonates across the pond as well as in the UK, Europe and beyond.

The band is now solidified by guitarist Tom Gentry (GUN, Marco Mendoza) and new singer Nik Taylor-Stoakes joining guitarist Matt Pearce, drummer Joe Lazarus and the aforementioned Newton – Who produced and mixed the album at Steve Harris’ Barnyard Studios, with it being mastered by Ade Emsley(Iron Maiden, Steve Harris).

‘Gone Forever’ is out now as the new line-up’s first single, and it can be streamed on all digital platforms and the official lyric music video screening right here at RAMzine.
