When Rivers Meet’s Festive Single & Spring UK Tour

UK Blues Award winners When Rivers Meet has released their first-ever Christmas single in ‘Christmas Is Here’ with accompanying number ‘It’s The Time Of The Year’ as a double A-side, alongside news of a Spring 2023 UK Tour.

The two tracks are written by Grace and Aaron Bond, and produced by Adam Bowers, with ‘Christmas Is Here is an upbeat blues rock Christmas song, featuring Grace Bond’s distinctive, powerhouse vocals and raunched-up mandolin solo overlaying Aaron Bond’s gritty guitar riff and harmonising vocals.

‘It’s The Time Of Year’ has been described as “beautifully simple and heart-warmingand harks back to gathering around the piano, giving the perfect platform for Grace to display her ability to switch from rock to ballad flawlessly with Aaron’s vocal harmony melding in the choruses.

When Rivers Meet established themselves as a duo with married couple Grace and Aaron Bond, winning four UK Blues Awards in 2021, and three more this year when they undertook their first UK headline tour. Expanding to a four-piece for the tour, they brought on board Roger Inniss (Bass, musical direction) and James Fox (Drums, keyboards, backing vocals) who will be back for 2023 trek around the UK.

Special guest on the tour will be US-born guitarist Arielle, discovered in 2010 by Extreme’s guitarist Nuno Bettencourt, she signed with an American indie record label and toured opening, for a number of top-flight. Hand-picked Queen guitarist Brian May for a key role in rock musical We Will Rock You, with her own solo releases since.

Planet Rock will start a 48-hour ticket pre-sale for the tour at 9am on 7th Wednesday December here. Tickets go on general sale on 9th Friday December here.
