As well as the amazing bands on offer, the stars of WWE are now a staple of Download Festival weekend. This year sees the superstars of the NXT UK roster duke it out in June. This will also be the first time episodes of NXT UK will be recorded, on-site, for the WWE Network.
NXT UK is a branch of the ever-growing developmental WWE territory featuring the freshest talent from around the globe. Announced roster members attending are: WWE UK Champion – ‘The Bruiserweight’ Pete Dunne, NXT UK Women’s champion (and self-confessed metal fan) Toni Storm, ‘The Mosh Pit Kid’ Rhea Ripley, The Midland’s own Trent Seven and Tyler Bate, ‘Composer Of Violence’ Walter, ‘The Irish Ace’ Jordan Devlin, Grizzled Young Veterans, ‘Kiwi Buzzsaw’ Travis Banks, Gallus, plus more to be announced.
Last year saw the live spectacle of UK champion Pete Dunne putting his title on the line against current NXT Champion Tomasso Ciampa.
