New Music Monday: Amerakin Overdose ‘Cyber Superstar’

If you look at a lot of new alternative-metal acts emerging in 2017 it’s clear to see they are inspired by late 90s/early 00s icons like Marilyn Manson, SlipKnot, Rammstein, and the like. Portland’s Amerakin Overdose are no different – as we see from their new track ‘Cyber Superstar’.

This might be your first time hearing this band. You’re welcome. ‘Cyber Superstar’ is about the rise in social media and attention seeking on such platforms. Check out the new video below:

If you want to hear something else a bit different, Amerakin Overdose also have a cover of ‘ET’ by Katy Perry on their YouTube channel.

Amerakin Overdose released their latest album in September, entitled ‘The Great Amerakin Dream’. This featured vocalist Waylon Reavis (formerly of Mushroomhead) and guest production from Ahrue Luster (Ill Nino, Machine Head).
