Nexus Inferis with Nightmare

French heavy metal act Nightmare has unleashed new details about their upcoming, brand new studio offering entitled Encrypted. It will be the band’s twelfth album and is slated for release on 7th June via AFM Records. Ahead of the album release, they have issued their second single taken from it, ‘Nexus Inferis’, that’s out now.

“Today we are very excited to share with you our second single, ‘Nexus Inferis’, taken from our forthcoming album, Encrypted!” The band commented. “This track is our album opener and has a hell of a riff matched with catchy melodies on the whole song. Lyrically, it is highly connected with the Encrypted concept : What if the end was just the beginning or a passage to hell (inferis)?”

‘Nexus Inferis’ is out now and available digitally here. It is the third release by Nightmare featuring new lead vocalist Barbara Mogore, the first having been a rerecording of ‘Eternal Winter’, that came out as a single and was originally released on the band’s 2009 album Insurrection, the new version still available on all digital services here you can also check out the video here at RAMzine. That was followed by ‘Saviours Of The Damned’ also from the Encrypted album, still available on all digital services here and that you can check out the video to it right here at RAMzine.

“We are thrilled to present our new music video!” said Nightmare at the time of the first recording with Mogore. “We choose to  take an old classic song from Nightmare and rerecorded it in the studio with our new vocalist Barbara, to give this track another vibe, a new musical approach and a new dimension. ‘Eternal Winter’ never had its own music video, so we have decided to bring other highlights to this song and make it sound like you never heard it before.”

As the band stated: “With the arrival of Barbara transcending Nightmare in new dimensions, we have decided to move to new heights in terms of musical approach to make Encrypted our most ambitious album to date in terms of production, musical direction and achievement.

“You can find here some traditional power metal riffing in the trademark of Nightmare but also extreme metal parts and some highlights even reaching melodic death metal; making Encrypted our most varied opus so far, beyond all boundaries and expectations.”

Encrypted was produced by Simone Mularoni at Domination Studio, the artwork was created by Franck Jeannin, and it features the tracks: ‘Nexus Inferis’, ‘The Blossom Of My Hate’, ‘Voices From The Other Side’, ‘Saviours Of The Damned’, ‘Wake The Night’, ‘Encrypted’, ‘Incandescent’, ‘White Lines’, ‘Borderlines’ and the 2023 version of ‘Eternal Winter’.
