Above Aurora

Trance black metal purveyors Above Aurora release their sophomore album The Shrine of Deterioration on 6 June 2020 through Pagan Records.

Recorded last winter it features six new compositions: ‘Blurred Luminosity’, ‘Virus’, ‘Barren Lore’, ‘Celestial Monarch’, ‘Precarious Foundations’ and ‘Splinters’.

Hailing from Poznań  in Poland, but currently residing in Reykjavik, Iceland, Above Aurora commented:

The Shrine of Deterioration captures the current state of the band as mankind’s feeble condition continues to decline. Perhaps it is the essence of Above Aurora – Our disappointment and resignation, loathing and self-reflections, sonically more complex than the previous releases, yet continuing the same form.”

The Shrine of Deterioration will be available on CD, LP and digitally and can be pre-ordered here.

‘Barren Lore’ is previewed at RAMzine on the video below.
