Swedish doom rock heavyweights Avatarium release a new single in the title track of their upcoming, fifth studio album. Death, Where Is Your Sting, that will be out on 21st October through AFM Records.
Vocalist Jennie-Ann commented on the track: “The song ‘Death, Where Is Your Sting’ is like a most personal conversation with death, saying “I survived, I might be in your calendar but I’m not going this time!”

Previously, they released the single ‘God Is Silent, of which aid guitarist Marcus Jidel said: “A classic Avatarium doomster with a different twist,” noting, “Even though it wasn’t intentional I now hear how we got influenced by bands like Trouble, Deep Purple and Candlemass. But then again if you are looking for inspiration why not listen to the masters.
“We also want to take the opportunity to thank our followers for all the encouragement and love during the pandemic. We love you back and can’t wait to see you soon on one of our live shows,” he added.

The chartbreaking band was formed in 2012 by Candlemass mastermind Leif Edling, and have released two EPs, four critically acclaimed full-length records and the live DVD, An Evening With Avatarium – Live in Stockholm January 2020, to date.
The current line-up features vocalist Jennie-Ann Smith, Marcus Jidell (Evergrey, Soen), Mats Rydström, Andreas Habo Johansson and Daniel Karlsson.
Death, Where Is Your Sting was produced by Marcus Jidell, mixed by Mats Valentin and Jidell, and was mastered by Svante Forsbäck. It will be available as digipak, on vinyl and limited 2-CD Earbook (incl. 5-track bonus CD).
Tracks featured are: ‘A Love Like Ours, ‘Stockholm, Death, ‘Where Is Your Sting, ‘Psalm For The Living, ‘God Is Silent’, ‘Mother Can You Hear Me Now’, ‘Nocturne’ and ‘Transcendent’.
