Bloodstock has added eighteen more bands to its 2027 bill, and the newcomers span every corner of the festival’s reach, from progressive post-metal to deathcore, thrash and beyond.
On the Ronnie James Dio stage, Friday welcomes Edinburgh’s DVNE and their ambitious progressive post-metal, honed across more than a decade of records. Saturday brings Perth metalcore favourites Make Them Suffer, who weave synths, screams and orchestral flourishes into something of their own, alongside Scottish underground veterans Dog Tired. Sunday adds deathcore mainstays Carnifex, whose crowds have a well-earned reputation for chaos.
Over on the Sophie Lancaster stage, Thursday offers London desert rockers Steak, Leeds sci-fi thrashers Cryptic Shift and genre-hopping London trio Calva Louise, whose multilingual sound has drawn support from BBC Radio 1 and 6 Music. Friday lines up Slough thrashers Divine Chaos, London hardcore crew False Reality and Northern Irish thrash veterans Gama Bomb, still trading in riffs built on horror movies and pulp sci-fi after two decades.
Saturday piles it on with Brighton brat-metal trio Eville, Ukrainian metalcore force Space Of Variations, Finland’s electronics-laced Luna Kills, transatlantic supergroup Spitting Glass, who sold out London’s Underworld before releasing much at all, and Atlanta deathcore outfit Left To Suffer. Sunday closes with Cypriot thrash/death metal stalwarts Blynd, Norwegian black and viking metal act Uburen, and US genre-blurrers The Acacia Strain, part cosmic hardcore, part doom and sludge.
The additions join confirmed Ronnie James Dio stage headliners Mercyful Fate, Electric Callboy and Motionless In White, with Madball, Gaerea, Kanonenfieber and Dethklok topping the Sophie Lancaster stage. Green Lung, Children Of Bodom, DevilDriver, Sylosis, Hammerfall, Hypocrisy, The Halo Effect, Conan, Dool and Pig Destroyer feature among many more.
Bloodstock 2027 takes place at Catton Park, Derbyshire, from 5 to 8 August 2027. Standard weekend tickets are available for £235 plus booking fee.
