One of the best things (among many) about Bloodstock Open Air is the anticipation of who is announced on the Thursday night line-up. Yes, Thursday, the night before the main festival opens. BOA regulars will know the Thursday night Sophie stage entertainment is somewhat of a wildcard. Previously headlined by the likes of Arnocorps, Phil Campbell and The Bastard Sons, Battle Beast, Tragedy and many more.

As announced in December, Thursday’s headliner will be Swedish hard rockers Night Flight Orchestra, joining them on the Sophie Lancaster stage are:

Goblin-metal pioneers Nekrogoblikon

Northern Irish prophets of doom – The Crawling

Derby’s own grindcore lads Raised By Owls – RAMzine’s ones to watch…

Winners of last year’s Bournemouth Metal 2 The Masses, Anakim

Plus many more bands and forms of entertainment to be announced.
