Burning Point… Hit the Night!

Finland’s melodic heavy and power metal act Burning Point return with a brand-new album, Arsonist Of The Soul, their first since 2016’s The Blaze – It will be released on 22nd October, through AFM Records. Prior to that, the band has released its latest single, ‘Hit The Night’.

With more than their share of line-up changes throughout their more than two decades of existence, Burning Point‘s main constant has been guitarist and chief songwriter Pete Ahonen. He also handled vocals until the arrival of former Battle Beast singer Nitte Valo in 2015. That place has now been taken up by new vocalist Luca Sturniolo.

Alongside fellow guitarist Pekka Kolivuori, the trio has been joined by now bassist Jarkko Poussu (formerly of Finnish thrash pioneers A.R.G.), drummer Tuomas Jaatinen and keyboard layer Matti Halonen.

“I am extremely happy about the new line-up and the new record,” said Ahonen. “All the guys are very, very talented and excited!”

A little heavier than on their last album, Arsonist Of The Soul features the following twelve tracks: ‘Blast In The Past’, ‘Rules The Universe’, ‘Out Of Control (Savage Animals)’, ‘Persona Non Grata’, ‘Arsonist Of The Soul’, ‘Hit The Night’, ‘Running In The Darkness’, ‘Calling Off The Radar’, ‘Fire With Fire’, ‘Will I Rise With The Sun’ and ‘Eternal Life’. It was mastered by mastered by Juanne Huotari.

The band has already showcased Arsonist Of The Soul, having released ‘Blast In The Past’ as a single.  They followed that with the album’s title track, and now of course there is ‘Hit The Night’ just out – You can watch videos to all three here at RAMzine.

Arsonist Of The Soul will be available as LP, CD and on digital formats. It is available to order here.
