Malvern rock outfit Linkwells return blending Britpop swagger with modern indie energy on new single ‘You Don’t Want Saving’, out now with an accompanying video on Flip Flop Records.
The song is about trying time and time again to help someone who’s struggling, offering support, patience and care, only to realise they have no intention of changing. It follows the emotional shift from compassion and persistence to frustration and clarity, as the relationship becomes draining and unhealthy. Ultimately, it’s about accepting that you can’t help someone who refuses help, and finding the strength to walk away before they pull you down with them.
‘You Don’t Want Saving’ follows previous single ‘Can’t Chase Yesterday’, a song about living in the moment and celebrating the power of embracing the present rather than dwelling on the past. It encourages listeners to let go of what’s gone, celebrate the now, and welcome new experiences with optimism, openness and a sense of adventure toward the opportunities the future holds.
With seven singles and an EP already under their belt, Linkwells have attracted listeners internationally while building a reputation for high-energy live performances.
