Klayton returns in two of his musical guises to issue new material through his record label FiXT.
As Scandroid, he returns with new single ‘Lost In The Stars’. Featuring heavy guitar riffs, pulsing electronic beats and layered synthesisers, the evocative soundscape has been described as ‘both nostalgic and futuristic.’
Klayton explained: “I’ve officially begun working on the new Scandroid album Lost Horizon. A short book has already been written to expand the Scandroid universe based around this album. The first single, ‘Lost in the Stars’, will make a lot more sense once you’ve read it, so while you wait for the book to drop, grab your favorite person, a few pairs of earbuds, jump in your spaceship and get lost in the stars.”
There’s exciting news too in his electronic rock guise as Celldweller. In July 2026 ‘Respawn’ came out as the second single from his sixth studio album God Mode, and he said of it: “Spending my formative years in the 1980s, gaming systems like the ATARI 2600 (I had the Sears knockoff) and ColecoVision were important and iconic to me. Those memories sparked the concept for my new album God Mode, an album revolving around gaming and game culture across different eras, which makes the concept of my next single ‘Respawn’ self-explanatory.
“I was inspired to throw elements of metal, industrial and punk-rock into a blender to see what would spawn. Lyrically it’s a reminder to myself that even when things seem dire, hopeless, or fatal, I will respawn.”
However, it’s his latest single, ‘Never A Thief’, that’s beginning to cause quite a stir. Celldweller, whose music has been featured in numerous major films, TV shows and video games, is recording the official soundtrack for the highly anticipated Thief: Pulse Of Promise graphic novel, coming soon from Bit Bot. The Thief: Pulse Of Promise Official Soundtrack will feature 12+ original songs inspired by the games’ iconic soundtracks and featuring all-new performances from legendary Garrett voice actor Stephen Russell.
“I was thrilled to get the opportunity to work in the world of Thief,” said Celldweller. “It’s pretty much the quintessential stealth game franchise, and anyone who plays these kinds of games knows how important audio is to the experience. When you’re Garrett, hiding in the shadows, listening for footsteps and trying to avoid a patrol, sound and music are a huge part of what creates that tension.
“I had a lot of fun digging into the sonic DNA of the original games and figuring out how to pay tribute to what made them sound so unique, while bringing some of those ideas into 2026 with a modern Celldweller spin. The goal was to make something that felt like it belonged in the world of Thief, but still had my fingerprints all over it.”
