Self-styled world’s finest sleazy flamenco band Gypsy Pistoleros‘ latest single, ‘Revolution’, is out now, on Earache Records.
‘Revolution!’ is an anthem for the underdog – A call for revolt against the corporate elite who own, control and manipulate the general population for their own gain, greed and amusement. For many who are sinking in financial debt and cannot ends meet, this is a call to change this corrupt system and government.
Available digitally, you can check out the video here at RAMzine.
The single follows fast in the snowy footsteps of their new album, Duende A Go Go Loco!, entering four charts in total thus far, including the Official UK Album Charts – This charts revelation has prompted a new spike in sales on the album.
Brought into the world to a soundtrack stack-heeled anthems of sleazy ’70s glam, Gypsy Pistoleros‘ songs span madly in the best rock ‘n’ roll tradition with big hooks, attitude, and sleaze.
Their new album is said to capture an edgier, punkier and heavier side of Gypsy Pistoleros, whilst retaining their flamenco rumba heart and fully embracing their fiery flamenco/rumba passion, while staying true to their distinctive crossover of punk rock ‘n’ roll leanings.
Featuring Gypsy Lee Pistolero (Vocals), Shane Pistolero Sparkz (Guitars), Kerry Pistolero White (Bass) and Crag Pistolero Shape (Drums), Duende A Go Go Loco! was recorded, mixed and produced by Dave Draper (The Wildhearts, Nickelback, Kerbdog, Terrorvision, The Professionals) at The Old Cider Press Studios, Pershore.
Tracks featured on the album are ‘Duende A Go Go Loco!’, ‘I Got It All’, ‘Revolution’, ‘What’s It Like To Be A Girl?’, ‘The Ballad Of Tommy Shelby’, ‘Like Tears In The Rain’, ‘Thrill Kill Killer Club’, ‘Maybe Tomorrow’, ‘I’ll Remember You’ and ‘Come On Eileen’.
The band’s previous single, was ‘I’ll Remember You‘, a tale of tragedy & loss, where the living can’t let go of the dead. Can love and faith conquer all? Not when you sleep on the grave and disturb the woodland Spirits in this sacred place on all Hallows night! The nearest The Gypsy Pistoleros ever get to a ballad, but this ballad kicks.
You can check out the video to the single here at RAMzine and stream/buy it here.
Before that came ‘Like Tears in the Rain’, a homage to the iconic scene in the original Blade Runner film when dying replicant Roy Batty, played by Rutger Hauer, delivering what’s become known as the Tears in the Rain monologue.
