Dark Faerie Tales, the new album from Gypsy Pistoleros, is out now via The New Church Records/Plastichead Distribution. Following on from it is their third single from the album, ‘King Of Almost Everything’.
Following the success of Church Of The Pistoleros — hailed as one of 2025’s most fearless and eclectic rock albums — the band has conjured a dark fairytale for the damned as its follow-up.
Born from the fires of their own mythology, Dark Faerie Tales drifts through haunted woods and neon dreams, where sleaze-drenched punk anthems meet gothic grandeur, and glam swagger burns with outlaw soul.
Produced and co-written by Dave Draper (Michael Monroe, Ginger Wildheart, The Wildhearts, Therapy?), expect punk energy, flamenco fire, apocalyptic glam swagger, and more.
Available on three-colour vinyl, as a digipak CD, and digitally, the album features the following tracks: ‘Dark Faerie Tales’, ‘My One Desire, Burn It Up’, ‘King Of Almost Everything’, ‘She’s Getting Stranger’, ‘Take My Hand To Nightmare Land’, ‘Behind The Mask’, ‘Prince Of The Damned’, ‘Rattling’, ‘I Whisper Goodbye’ and ‘The Ghost Of Baby Strange’.
The video for new single ‘King Of Almost Everything’ has been described as “a savage, cinematic takedown of false idols, hollow power, and blind devotion.” A rallying cry for the disillusioned, the track cuts deep into the mythology of modern authority.
The title track was the first single release taken off the long player, setting the tone for what should follow: a decadent and dangerous collection of tales for the beautiful, the broken, and the strange of heart.
‘Prince Of The Damned’ was the band’s second single and intended as a dark, swaggering hard rock anthem steeped in gothic menace and glam-punk bravado. Lyrically, it dives into corruption, temptation, and inner demons, with cinematic and theatrical intensity.
Gypsy Pistoleros’ live shows have been described as gothic theatre, glam-punk ritual, and unmissable rock spectacle. They are currently on tour through the UK with James Kennedy & The Underdogs as special guests. More dates are likely to be announced.
