And were back with the all-too familiar as yet another band once more reschedules their tour dates to take into account the latest international safety precautions and laws surrounding movement during the covid pandemic, and in some circumstances venue availability.
This time round, it’s Swedish rock band H.E.A.T who have rescheduled their tour dates for this October to 2022 instead.
The UK days, now christened as the Sign In The Northern Sky Tour, will include dates at Leeds Warehouse (Friday 14th October), Wolverhampton KK’s Steel Mill (Saturday 15th October) Swansea Patti Pavilion (Sunday 16th October), Nottingham Rescue Rooms (Monday 17th October) and London Electric Brixton (Tuesday 18th October).
The UK tour celebrates the return of H.E.A.T’s original lead singer, Kenny Leckremo, the voice behind the bands huge Scandinavian hit single ‘1000 Miles’. That was in 2009, the same year the band’s second album, Freedom Rock, was nominated as one of the Top 50 albums in 2010 by the UK’s Classic Rock Magazine. Since then, they have toured the world, blowing audiences away with their outstanding live concerts.
Leckremo replaces previous lead singer, Erik Grönwall, who announced his amicable departure from the band towards the end of 2020.
“It’s like a shot at redemption,” said Leckremo. “I’m thrilled to be back, and to be a part of what H.E.A.T is today. No longer just a shadow of the past, but a force into the future. The H.E.A.T legacy continues.”
In a time when artists like Foreigner, Journey and Whitesnake are enjoying a resurgence, teenagers are re-discovering the melodic approach to hard rock. Kids are suddenly wearing classic rock band logos on t-shirts.
H.E.A.T don’t hide their love for their classic rock heroes, nor do they try to copy it, either – Drawing both young and old to their freshly sounding, energetic classic rock and bombastic melodies.
The rescheduled UK tour follows the band’s critically acclaimed album H.E.A.T II that spawned the hit singles ‘Rise’, ‘Come Clean’, ‘Rock Your Body’, ‘Dangerous Ground’ and ‘One By One’, produced by band members Jona Tee and Dave Dalone.
H.E.A.T plan on releasing new material in 2022 to coincide with the 2022 UK tour dates – Thus possibly explaining where the Sign In The Northern Sky tag fits in. But you can hear returning frontman Leckremo singing his version of previous single ‘Rise’ on the video featured here at RAMzine.
Tickets previously sold remain valid for all dates, and you can purchase them for the 2022 dates by clicking here. Special guests on the tour are Mason Hill and Collateral.
“I am so excited to be back performing with my H.E.A.T brothers and can’t wait to rock out with our UK fans in October 2022,” said Leckremo. “This tour is going to be a very special occasion for all of us. We look forward to seeing all of you on the road in 2022.”
