King Satan announce Black Magick Abraxas LP

Finnish industrial metal heretics King Satan have announced their brand new album Black Magick Abraxas, out 6th November via Blood Blast Distribution, alongside the release of new single and video ‘Light of Darkness’.

The Tampere-based act, founded in 2015 by enigmatic multi-instrumentalist and producer King Aleister Satan, have spent a decade carving out a distinct identity within the alternative, industrial and extreme metal scenes through relentless touring, provocative theatrics and a mercurial sound the band themselves dub ‘death metal disco’.

Frontman King Aleister Satan said of the new track: “‘Light of Darkness’ is industrial metal to the people who don’t like industrial metal. This song is probably not even industrial metal at all, like half of our songs are not. But that’s not important. What is important is that it has blast beats and disco beats mixed together. We are a nightmare for anyone trying to categorize our music. Here you hear influences from symphonic metal, classical music, and religious hymns, tied together with rocking industrial metal that you can mosh and/or dance to.”

The album follows recent single ‘Black Magick Rock ‘N’ Roll’ featuring Erja Lyytinen, one of Finland’s most esteemed rock guitarists, which merged industrial metal and blues rock into high-octane crossover suitable for dance floors, moshpits and 2am kitchen discos.

Renowned for their explosive stage presence, King Satan are anchored by the dynamic vocal interplay between mastermind King Aleister Satan and keyboardist-vocalist Hekate ‘Kate’ Boss, creating a beauty-and-the-beast dialogue between raw darkness and eloquent power. The band have toured extensively across Finland and Europe with their own headline shows and supporting Deathstars, Turmion Kätilöt and Gothminister, playing prestigious metal festivals including Tuska Festival and Masters of Rock alongside industrial-alternative festivals like Dark Malta and Hellsinki Industrial Festival.

The full Black Magick Abraxas tracklist runs: ‘Black Magick Rock ‘N’ Roll’ feat. Erja Lyytinen, ‘Light of Darkness’, ‘Fire in the Hole’, ‘Hate Me Baby’, ‘Abraxas Rising’, ‘Far Beyond Good and Evil’, ‘The Devil Made Me Do It’, ‘Down by the Sins’, plus ‘Ride the Lion’ as a CD/LP bonus track.

King Satan play Masters of Rock Festival in Vizovice, Czechia on 17th July and Hellsinki Industrial Festival on 20th-21st November for a special show featuring Erja Lyytinen.

Black Magick Abraxas is out 6th November via Blood Blast Distribution.
