Following the success of 2024’s It Leads To This – That soared to Number 1 on the Official UK Rock and Metal Chart – The Pineapple Thief return with their new EP and second release of 2024, Last To Run. Containing over 20 minutes of previously unreleased music. The EP is out on 8th November via Kscope.
Written during the same sessions that birthed It Leads To This, the songs on Last To Run have been described as “a powerful, cohesive narrative, showcasing the band’s unique blend of progressive rock and introspective lyricism”.
Vocalist and songwriter Bruce Soord reflected on the EP’s origins. Commenting:
“We had some difficult decisions to make when deciding on the final track listing for It Leads To This. The songs on this EP are based on songs and ideas from those sessions but they have since evolved way beyond what we would have imagined at the time. We are delighted with the result – it really seems capture a different mood and sound.”
Last To Run will be available on green vinyl, as a CD and digitally from here.
The EP is due when The Pineapple Thief kicks off their North American tour, support coming from special guest Randy McStine. After that, in 2025, the band will tour extensively through Europe, beginning in Leipzig, Germany on 16th March and ending in Helsinki, Finland on 12th April.
