Leaves’ Eyes Last Viking

Germanic and Finnish symphonic battle rock band Leaves’ Eyes sail out defiantly once more proclaiming the release of a brand new album, The Last Viking, out now.

It follows on from a series of cult favourite albums that has seen the band relate Leif Eriksson’s discovery of America and the life of Norway’s first king as heavy metal rock scores. Now, with The Last Viking, in what has been described as a monumental work, Leaves’ Eyes “bring the Viking Sagas to their bombastic finale.”

Released on October 23rd through AFM Records, behind a cover by Stefan Heilemann (Lindemann, Epica, Kamelot), The Last Viking will be available in a multitude of formats and can be pre-ordered by  clicking here.

Songs featured are ‘The Last Viking’, ‘Death Of A King’, ‘Chain Of The Golden Horn’, ‘Dark Love Empress’, ‘Serpents And Dragons’, ‘Black Butterfly’ (feat. Clémentine Delauney)*, ‘War Of Kings’, ‘For Victory’, ‘Two Kings One Realm’, ‘Flames In The Sky’, ‘Serkland’*, ‘Varangians’, ‘Night Of The Ravens’*, ‘The Last Viking’,  ‘Break Into The Sky Of Aeon’ (* Denotes album versions).

Produced by band member/vocalist Alexander Krull, alongside Elina Siirala on lead vocals, Thorsten Bauer on guitar and bass, guitarist Micki Richter and drummer Joris Nijenhuis, Leaves’ Eyes herald The Last Viking’s release by releasing ‘Dark Love Empress’, a single taken from the parent record.

Dark Love Empress’ is a she-warrior ballad featuring Siirala both vocally and in presence, and you can watch the official video for it right here at RAMzine.

Leaves’ Eyes followed that with their second single from the album, ‘Chain Of The Golden Horn’ that you can read about and watvh the official video of at RAMzine by clicking here.
