Following last year’s album Gorzkie Plony (“Bitter Harvest”), Polish blackened heavy metal outfit Narrenwind return with a Polish-language cover of Darkthrone‘s ‘Natassja in Eternal Sleep’, from the latter act’s 1993 album Under A Funeral Moon.

Band member Ævil said: “Three years after the spontaneous recording of ‘Under The Funeral Moon’, I just as spontaneously suggested to Klimørh that we tackle another classic. This time it was a despair-filled declaration of love to a witch burned at the stake. Why Darkthrone again? Why this particular track? Because it’s great!”
Klimørh added: “I’m very happy that we’re revisiting the unholy third Darkthrone album. For me, these are iconic songs that, years ago, opened my eyes to the musical and spiritual aspects of black metal. And Arthur, Ævil, on the occasion of your birthday, I wish you one hundred years, one hundred albums, and one hundred witches (not burned at the stake). Pass the bottle, reach for the knife!”
Narrenwind described Gorzkie Plony as “a return to the spirit of our inaugural work,” and it is out now.
