Oli Brown & The Dead Collective – New EP & April UK Tour

Oli Brown & The Dead Collective embark on their first headline tour of the UK throughout April, following the release of their new EP, Epilogue, out on the 29th  March.

Epilogue is the third in a series of EPs released by Oli Brown & the Dead Collective (following 2023’s Prelude and Prologue). The four tracks showcase the prodigious talents of Brown, on guitar and vocals, guitarist Sam Wood and drummer Wayne Proctor (respected record producer and former drummer with award-winning blues rock band King King), who are currently working on their debut album, due for late 2024.

Tracks featured on the EP are ‘Another Day Lost (Solitude Sessions)’, ‘I Won’t Leave’, ‘Home Sweet Home’ and ‘Another Day Lost’.

Oli Brown was initially recognised as a blues musician, winning several awards as Best Guitarist, Best Band, and Best Singer at the British Blues Awards. Through his solo career he toured and supported artists such as Jeff Beck, Joe Satriani, John Mayall and Buddy Guy.

Craving a change in musical direction and a departure from his roots, Brown formed the rock band RavenEye. Starting out with a five track EP, it caught the attention of Slash who proceeded to take the band on tour through Europe & USA. The band went on to release their debut album Nova and thereafter took their live headline show across the USA, UK & Europe and South America. Then a European tour with KISS helped cement the band’s footprint in Europe, along with tours with Aerosmith, The Darkness, Halestorm, Blues Pills and major UK, US & European Festivals including Reading & Leeds, Ramblin’ Man, Aftershock and Louder Than Life.

Brown then used the time during the worldwide lockdown to reconnect with his own songwriting and lyrics, resulting in the recording of a new studio album that comes from a unique and honest place, blending both his origins alongside distinctive alternative roots sounds, and resulting in his next musical chapter, as Oli Brown & The Dead Collective.

For someone who made their name as a guitarist, listeners will be surprised and delighted by the vocal arrangements on the new EP, reminiscent as they are of Jeff Buckley, Chris Cornell and Shannon Hoon, while the music itself is an atmospheric mash-up of styles.
