Orianthi Gives You Some Kind of Feeling

Celebrated guitarist and singer Orianthi will release her new single, ‘Some Kind of Feeling’ via Woodward Avenue Records on Friday 15th November, and it’s the title track off her forthcoming album that’s due out in 2025.

The title itself is something of a self-fulfilling prophecy. Singing in a raw, vulnerable, and romantic way about how love changed her, but along the way del

Performing both lead and backing vocals, alongside guitar, Orianthi Panagaris, co-wrote the song with executive producer Mark Nordman, the song itself produced and mixed by Kevin Shirley and mastered by Don Bartley. Nick Maybury played additional guitar, Justin Andres was on bass & background vocals, Ed Roth on keyboards, Jimmy Paxson on drums, with Jade MacRae supplying background vocals.

Hired for an almost historic run of shows for Michael Jackson’s London performances prior to his sudden death, Orianthi has also had years-long collaborations with Alice Cooper, Dave Stewart, and Richie Sambora, alongside her own solo career.

Indeed, Orianthi references own her last single with an line in the very first verse: “When he walked into my world, now you’re by my side. All the ghosts are gone that used to keep me up at night.” on the blues-inflected ‘Some Kind Of Feeling’

Sweet in sound, a little bitter in the words she sings. This is a soulful blues song, where the guitars sit in holding tight with the rhythm throughout, lead lines dipping out expressively and sometimes cheekily only intermittently, leaving more sincere shredding until the latter part of the song.

Some Kind Of Feeling’ is available to on all streaming platforms from here and you can watch the official music video here at RAMzine.
