Shinedown have officially released their eighth studio album, EI8HT, via Atlantic Records. The record arrives backed by over 91 million pre-release streams and follows a string of chart successes, including the band’s record-extending 23rd number one single on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay chart with ‘Safe And Sound’.
To celebrate the launch, the band hosted a global livestream Q&A from Tampa, Florida, followed by the premiere of the official music video for their latest single, ‘Young Again’. The video was directed by Andrew Donoho.
The album was produced by bassist Eric Bass at Big Animal Studio in Charleston, South Carolina, spanning 18 tracks that showcase the band’s signature melodic rock style.
Frontman Brent Smith commented on the release:
“From the very beginning, this band has always been about people. This album was built for everyone. No matter where you come from, what you believe, what you’re carrying, or what you’re trying to overcome, there’s something in this record for you.”
In support of the release, Shinedown will embark on the Dance, Kid, Dance Act II World Tour, covering 11 countries across North America, Europe, and the UK. The band will donate $1 from every ticket sold to the cancer research and treatment organization City of Hope.
The UK and Ireland leg of the tour is scheduled for November 2026. Coheed and Cambria and Those Damn Crows will join the band as special guests for the UK dates, while Those Damn Crows will support in Dublin.
