Skindred – Announce New Single & November/December UK Dates

Never content with sitting still for long, the Skindred boys played an intimate and epic gig at Southampton’s Talking Heads on Sunday 2nd November, and the next morning hopped on the ferry to spread their own brand of UK ragga/punk/metal across Europe.

Skindred start the European leg of their immensely successful tour Tuesday 4th November in Eragny, France, then on to dates in Spain, Switzerland, Italy, Croatia, Hungary, Poland, Germany and France. With just a day or so’s grace the band hit our shores again with a succession of UK dates finishing up in Salisbury, Hampshire, on Friday 28th November.

2014 has been another big year for the Skindred boys, playing all over the world, a number of top notch festival slots, sell out shows, and topping half a million record sales worldwide during their career to date.

New single ‘Proceed With Caution’ is released on Monday 17th from the critically acclaimed ‘Kill The Power’ album, which is out now and receiving rave reviews, not least from RAMzine’s Neil Mach who awarded it 9/10 pre-release.

As if that wasn’t enough, Skindred have recently signed with the Austrian powerhouse that is Napalm Records, and joining a host of other heavy metal and hard rock’s finest names. A new album is due for release in 2015 and the boys have recently been confirmed to play the mighty ‘Rock Am Ring’ and ‘Rock Im Park’ next year in Germany alongside Slipknot, Foo Fighters, and Lamb of God to name a few.

In other news, DJ/sampler and backing singer Dan Sturgess has now joined the band full time, after a few years of playing the band’s live set up. Dan will also be involved in the writing of the 2015 album.

Skindred return from Europe later in November, playing dates at:

  • Friday 21st November – Plymouth, The Hub
  • Saturday 22nd November – Swansea, Sin City
  • Sunday 23rd November – Bath, Komedia
  • Monday 24th November – Carlisle, The Brickyard
  • Tuesday 25th November – Hull, The Welly Club
  • Wednesday 26th November – Cardiff, The Globe
  • Thursday 27th November – Poole, Mr Kyps
  • Friday 28th November – Salisbury, City Hall
  • Wednesday 31st December – Camberley, The Agincourt

But it doesn’t stop there. Skindred have been confirmed as main support to the glorious Steel Panther on a string of UK dates in the March 2015, including Wembley Arena. If you want to be there (of course you do!) tickets are selling fast and I recommend you grab them while you still can!
