The Anix has been dropping singles like coins falling out a torn pocket, either side of new album Voltage, out now via FiXT.
The latest release is the gritty guitar driven ‘Poltergeist’ that you can stream here and check out the video of below.
Prior to that came ‘Disarm’ that captures the intensity of isolation and introspection via an electric fusion of alternative rock and electronic elements and striking a balance between melancholic atmospheres and energetic rock. Available here, you can check out the video here at RAMzine.
Among those other singles, mid-October was ‘Go‘, dreamy fusion of alternative rock and electronic elements. A moody and chill atmospheric track that captures the essence of modern life’s darker, more introspective moments. Available here, you can check out the video here at RAMzine.
Earlier, the ‘Locked Door’ single was described as a “hypnotic blend of alternative rock and electronic element,” where The Anix “merges a dark yet dreamy soundscape with a modern edge.” Available digitally, you can check out the video here at RAMzine.
Previous release ‘Sinking Alone’, was described by The Anix at the time as “a nod to some of the early 90s bands like HUM, Weezer, Failure and STP.”
“I used vintage fuzz pedals and several overdubs of bass guitars and Fender Bass VI to get this juggernaut massive tone. Phil Collins is one of my favourite drummers, so I took inspiration from Genesis for some of the drum parts, but this is intended to be a modern song when it comes to the lyrical theme. I find it odd that in a time where we are more connected than ever before in human history, the majority of us feel more alone than ever.”
The single showcases a blend of grunge, alternative rock, and the modern. It can be purchased/streamed here and you can check out the video here at RAMzine.
