The Best of Skid Row for Christmas

Skid Row‘s 40 Seasons: The Best of Skid Row, remastered and available for the first time ever on translucent blue vinyl, could prove a nifty present for that someone special this coming Christmas.

Available here in the UK from the 4th of December, following its release in the USA a month earlier, it comes courtesy of BMG in partnership with Rhino Entertainment, and its 16 tracks span the hard rock band’s multi-platinum albums Skid Row and Slave To The Grind through to 1995’s Subhuman Race.

Originally released in 1998, 40 Seasons: The Best of Skid Row not only features Skid Row hit singles and best-known songs but also demos of ‘Fire In The Hole’ and ‘Frozen’, alongside remixes of tracks like ‘Into Another’ and ‘Breakin’ Down’, as well as a live version of ‘Beat Yourself Blind’ recorded at London’s Astoria in 1995.

Formed in New Jersey, Skid Row broke onto the international stage with their self-titled 1989 debut, establishing themselves with a combination of huge hooks, street-level attitude, and a ferocious live reputation. Two years later, Slave To The Grind pushed the band into heavier territory while cementing their place among the era’s defining hard rock acts.

Tracks featured on 40 Seasons: The Best of Skid Row are: ‘Youth Gone Wild (2026 Remaster)’, ’18 And Life (2026 Remaster)’, ‘Piece Of Me (2026 Remaster)’, ‘I Remember You (2026 Remaster)’, ‘The Threat (2026 Remaster)’, ‘Psycho Love (2026 Remaster)’, ‘Monkey Business (2026 Remaster)’, ‘Quicksand Jesus (2026 Remaster)’, ‘Slave To The Grind (2026 Remaster)’, ‘Into Another (Remix) (2026 Remaster)’, ‘Frozen (Demo 1994) (2026 Remaster)’, ‘My Enemy (Remix) (2026 Remaster)’, ‘Breakin’ Down (Remix) (2026 Remaster)’, ‘Beat Yourself Blind (Live) (2026 Remaster)’, ‘Forever (2026 Remaster)’ and ‘Fire In The Hole (Demo, 1991) (2026 Remaster)’.
